Filebird Image Organization #

The following is a breakdown of the image organization within the Filebird app.

• Events – graphics for events
• News – graphics/photos for news posts
• Logos – All Mayhem/Marksmen/SPHL logos
• Team Logos – Other team logos
• Graphics – graphics for pages
• Partners – Partner logos
• Fan photos – generic photos of fans
• Staff – photos for staff bios

General Image Rules #

Rules are to conserve bandwidth, save hosting space, speed up page loading and minimize backup size. Images are converted to webp automatically to save space.

Always check to see if a graphic or photo is pre-existing before uploading a new file. This is to help conserve server space and loading times.

File Types #

• Photos and images that do not require transparency are JPG.
• Logos and images that require transparency are PNG.

File Size #

• Images are JPG and less than 1mb, preferably less than 350kb.
  • Usually Photoshop jpg exported at 40-60% quality.

Dimensions #

  Keep image dimensions less than 1920×1080 (wide) or 1200×1200 (square).

Image Naming Convention #

  Image names are important for file organization, webpage loading, and SEO.

  All Image should start with the team name, “Macon-Mayhem-“

Specific Image Rules #

Event Promo Banner Images #

Event promo banner images are used as the feature image of a game.

Dimensions #

Aspect Ratio 1.91:1, same as Facebook event banner size

 Prefered size: 1834px x 960px, 320kb max file size.

Image File Name #

 [Team-Name]-Promo-[yymmdd]

Partner Logos #

 Dimensions #

 The canvas and graphic size are important to create padding around image when viewed on page.

• Canvas Size: 500px x 500px max. Canvas size can be less in either width or height but neither can be larger than 500px.
• Graphic size natural blank border within canvas:
  • [max canvas size] – 25px
  • 475px x 475px max

 Image File Name #

Full business name with dashes. When uploaded to WordPress, remove dashes in image Title.

Max size: 1280px x 1280px.
