2. Add Title and verify permalink matches.

  Add title then clicking off will automatically create the permalink.

3. Paste content in the editor. Ensure that the “paste as text” option is selected, then Edit->Paste or CTRL+V or right click->paste.

4. Then select visual to adjust spacing between paragraphs and add formatting (bold, centering, photos, and links)

a. Spacing:

i. Paragraph (enter on keyboard) <p> text </p>

ii. Next Line, line break (enter+ctrl on keyboard) <br/>

b. Bold text

c. Links

i. To add links, highlight the text you want to be the link and click the Chain icon.

ii. An easy way to add a link to the main page is to use “/”. Be sure to click the blue arrow to save the link. For links to external sites, click the gear and select “Open link in new window.”

d. Images within text body

i. Insert image using the “Add Media” button located on the top left of the editing area.

ii. Mouse over inserted image, choose alignment. Then Choose edit.

iii. Choose thumbnail image size that fits the shape, less than 600×600. Choose “Link to” as “Media File”

5. Add categories, always add parent category.

6. Add Tags for person/player name and/or opponent team only. If a tag already exists, it will pop up once you type 3 letters. If it does not, keep typing to add the tag.

(Player first and last name is one tag, full name, no nicknames or aka)

7. Set featured image.

  • Use a jpg with 60% quality, 1280 square or 1280×720 wide, file size should be less than 500k.
  • Name the image something meaningful that can be searched later and will appear if image has display issue.
    • [Team]_[YY]_[Desc]_[Player].jpg
    • Marksmen_24_Signed_Name.jpg
  • Upload new images into the “News” folder.

a. Add photo credit, if needed. Add photographer name, or business, to the “Caption” field in the image’s Attachement Detail screen.

8. Add post sponsor if applicable. Choose image from “Partners” folder.

9. Complete Pre-Publish Checklist

10. Publish post or schedule by choosing a date in the future.
